The department is running a series of presentations every second month to help in the education and development of coaches, officials and high-performance managers.
Renowned sport psychologist Brian Miller will briefly introduce the science and research behind our current knowledge of team cohesion before giving practical tips and explain why coaches should aim to enhance this aspect
Team cohesion can also be important within individual sports and Brian will identify techniques for assisting in this area.
Brian Miller has been a top-level sport psychologist for 35 years. His first Olympic Games was Los Angeles in 1984 and his last was Rio in 2016.
Brian has also worked with professional teams and individuals including English Premier League players, international cricketers and Formula One racing.
He has acted as a consultant to the AIS, AOC, Team GB and several Australian NSOs and WA SSAs. Brian has worked as a consultant to the department since 2011.
